2020 was an extremely difficult year for everyone. With financial uncertainty and restrictions on most social gatherings Christmas was proving to be a difficult time for many families. The Covid-19 pandemic had left many struggling particularly hard. However, it is during times of extreme hardship that people tend to come together in aid of each other. Here at Savanna Rags we wanted to do something to help the local community spread Christmas joy to vulnerable families in our area. In co-operation with local councillors, John Coxhead and Anne Callaghan our team organised a toy drive at Savanna Rags. Members of our staff, and suppliers brought toys for boys and girls of various ages. The gifts were picked up by John, and distributed in the Mansfield area, along with presents donated by other businesses and individuals. John expressed his excitement over the amount of presents that were collected and noted that he is looking forward to future collaborations, and this excitement was definitely mutual.
